it’s gonna be a great weekend for vegans in los angeles and here is the stuff you shouldn’t be missing:

franken's on saturday!

first up on saturday, the frankenstand is taking over hollywood and western with its delicious plant-based sausages. if you haven’t tried this place yet, you GOTTA go. they are our #1 favorite food cart and their gourmet franks are beyond delicious. it’s also a special occasion because franken’s very rarely comes out in the daylight. seriously, GO. take my advice, and order the witch or the franken….you will not be sorry. follow @thefrankenstand on twitter for more info.

the franken: this classic sausage will make you feel alive! with a monster blend of sun dried tomatoes and basil giving it a slightly sweet taste. $5

UPDATE: it appears that zpizza is not selling vegan pizza at every store, even though that’s how they advertised it on twitter. PLEASE CALL YOUR LOCAL STORE TO CHECK.

as of friday evening, both the weho and chatsworth locations were clueless about the promotion. however, santa clarita is totally legit. let’s hope they get this ironed out soon. we want slices!

hey everyone, another weekend full of awesome vegan events is comin’ atcha!

vegan ice cream at worldfest

i’m gonna go a little bit out of order and say the one thing you ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO check out this weekend is worldfest which takes place on sunday may 16th from 10:30am to 7pm at woodley park. there is gonna be music, vegan food galore, bands, beer, and celebrity speakers. it costs $7 to get in for adults, $5 for seniors, and kids under 12 are free. for more info check out the worldfest website, and be sure to read my review from last year.

the food alone is seriously worth the admission price. vegan ice cream, corndogs, funnel cakes, and lots of new products you haven’t had before. see ya there…
