quick bites: ms cupcake vegan bakery opens in london
5April 1st, 2011london, more restaurants (not LA)this just in, folks! ms cupcake has officially opened london’s first all vegan bakery and it looks incredible. our blogger buddy fat gay vegan was there at the scene in brixton and not only did he write an awesome post about the new shop, but he also sent us some exclusive photos for today’s quick bite.
we first blogged about the cupcake queen back in 2010 when rachel sent us a glowing field report from the brick lane tea rooms. we are so happy to see that now, less than a year later, ms cupcake has her very own storefront and a massive global following. no joke, every person i know who has sampled ms cupcake’s vegan goodies swear that they are the best in the world. WHY HAVE I NOT EATEN THESE YET?!
fat gay vegan’s description of the storefront sounds heavenly: “The first thing that you notice as you walk into the bakery is the marvellous array of cupcakes. The choice on offer is a bit much to take in. You can choose from strawberry/chocolate, triple choc0late, vanilla, pina colada, jaffa cake, ferrero rocher, lemon drop and so many more.”
he goes on to wax poetic on cookies, “cuppa cupcakes” (much like our cupcakes in a jar), cookie sandwiches, custards, marshmallows, and pudding cups.
i’m devastated that i was in london just one month ago and missed out on the opening of ms cupcake’s new shop. i’m already plotting my next trip across the pond to stock up on these amazing goodies.

It is so amazing – it should be the first stop on everyone’s list when they come to London! I was there yesterday and just woke up this morning to a cup of tea and a raspberry cupcake in bed. Ms. Cupcake makes me happy!!
