vegan cupcakes and beer this saturday with c’est la v!
8April 11th, 2011vegan bakers, vegan eventswho doesn’t love vegan cupcakes? who doesn’t love craft beer? well this saturday april 16th you can get a taste of both when we host this month’s vegan drinks celebration with c’est la v bakeshop at the surly goat in west hollywood. (please be sure to rsvp if you’d like to attend!)
kim garr, the mastermind behind LA’s popular c’est la ve bakeshop, was recently a contestant on the food network’s cupcake wars. on saturday night, she’ll be selling the goodies she made on the show, plus all the flavors she would have made had she advanced to further rounds. it’s gonna be a vegan cupcake extravaganza! check out the flavors kim will have on hand for you to try (in addition to the midnight chocolate peanut butter cup pictured above).
click on each cupcake picture for a much more detailed description…
on top of all the delicious cupcakes, the surly goat will have their usual impressive roster of craft beer on tap, plus a special menu indicating which brews are vegan-friendly. oh, and if you aren’t a beer person, the goat also has a full bar.
if you’d like to attend this event, please sign up on the vegan drinks website and RSVP! it’s really important that we know how many people are coming, so that kim can make enough cupcakes for everybody. here are the event details:

Ohhh those cupcakes look fantastic!!!
I had wanted to order vegan baked goods from C’est La V Bakeshop for refreshments at a project meeting late last year, and even emailed the store about it. But I couldn’t convince the people I was working with to try something vegan, unfortunately. [I later realized I should’ve just brought something in and not said anything beforehand–they were turned off the by word “vegan” more than anything else. What to do with people like that :(]
So, lesson learned for the next time.
Anways these cupcakes look delectable and scrumptious, good luck with this event!!!!!! -

Why do I have to work that night!? :/ I’m not a drinker but I would have volunteered to be a designated driver just so I could get my hands on those CUPCAKES!!!

Wish I could be there! Thanks for setting this up. This will probably go down as the best attended vegan drinks ever!
