mocha almond fudge cake and more by chef chloe!
11February 23rd, 2011news, other, recipes, vegan bakersby now, you are all probably familiar with chloe coscarelli. the young chef has taken the vegan world by storm and gained national attention when she earned top honors on the food network’s cupcake wars.
over the holidays, we were lucky enough to have a family-style home cooked meal at chloe’s house, where she made us one of the most insane desserts i’ve ever eaten. the monstrous mocha almond fudge cake will be featured in chloe’s cookbook (which is due out next year), and you can see her make it here with fran drescher:
i speak from personal experience when i say this cake is THE BOMB. check out all the other delicious things chloe cooked for us after the jump…

and of course, the infamous mocha almond fudge cake…

is there a recipe for the mocha cake? she doesn’t really explain how to make it in the video…

That was a ton of oil in the cake and the frosting. I wouldn’t call that “low-fat” like she said!! Looks delish though. Lucky you!
