7December 20th, 2009cinnamon, LA restaurantsif you haven’t been to cinnamon vegetarian in highland park yet, you are really dropping the vegan ball. not only do they now carry daiya cheese, but they make some of the best and cheapest meatless mexican food in LA.
2 vegan chorizo sopes. $4.75
take for example their sopes appetizer which comes with 2 circles of fried corn masa topped with homemade vegan chorizo, refried beans, lettuce, tomato, onion and guacamole…all for under 5 bucks. this thing eats like a meal and is absolutely delicious.
just a gentle reminder that there is a place called highland park, and there is some really wonderful vegan mexican food there.

I eat there probably once a week. Love the food and the two ladies always working are super nice.

Thanks to you, QG, we had the best vegan Thanksgiving dinner from Cinnamon.
I had ordered the meal over the phone and it’s quite a haul from the west side but we braved it. P/u was scheduled for Tuesday and when we got there, they were closed. However, they quickly opened the door for us and greeted me by name!
Mashed potatoes, green beans, stuffing and a super cute and delicious “turkey breast” that was trussed and stuffed just like the real thing. Mushroom gravy was beyond good.
If their regular food is as good, wow, I need to make the trek!
I’m a little surprised to read that it’s cheap. The Tday meal was not. It wasn’t overpriced but was not what I call cheap. -

we tried the chicken and soyrizo tamale dinners out tonight and they were great. We are def ordering a dozen Xmas tamales from here. We are going with the chix ones. so so good.

OMG… I love that place… You have to try their Pozole . It’s so yummy.I still need to take my husband to this place.
I only wished that they had some dinner specials. I could never take day off from work and check out their weekday specials.
Quarrygirl- I finally checked out vegan reuben from locali. Best sandwich:) Brandon and unknown Locali employee were super friendly.

I was all busy planning to go to this place till I realized tomorrow is Tuesday and they’ll be closed! I’ll stop in some other day for sure though.
