vegan holiday at whole foods: gardein, field roast, & DISCOUNT PIZZA!
8November 24th, 2009storeshey los angeles vegans! just a quick post to let you know that whole foods has some special holiday offerings including seasonal products from gardein and field roast.
in the prepared foods section, you can find a whole holiday spread which features stuffed turk’y roasts by gardein and stuffed hazelnut cranberry en croute by field roast. both products look absolutely delicious, although i haven’t had the chance to try them yet.

they also are offering gardein rosemary grilled breast. seriously, there is no excuse not to have a vegan thanksgiving. everything you need is at whole foods!
also, at whole foods west hollywood (fairfax and sanmo) they will be offering 50% OFF all whole and 12 inch prepack pizzas! This includes the basu’s homestyle pizzas, the black garlic pizzas, or you can create your own! they also have a hummus pizza and a field roast pizza, which i haven’t tried yet. whole foods uses daiya cheese on their vegan pizza and they do a fucking amazing job, so i suggest you take this opportunity to check it out if you haven’t already.
i know i will be hitting up whole foods for some vegan thanksgiving eats, as well as a post-holiday pizza.

wholefoods is really embracing the vegan community. i love the work they’re doing.

I wonder if this pizza special is only available at this whole food location (fairfax and santa monica)… I just hate driving into that parking lot.

that hazelnut cranberry field roast is DELICIOUS. i bought some with the intention of taking it to work and having it for lunch but i ate it all as soon as i got home =(

I’m quite sure the pizza deal is happening at many whole foods (throughout California at least), since they have the same sale going on Friday at my San Francisco store.

Goddammit, what the fuck? My local Whole Foods (in DC) only has vegan General Tso’s in the prepared food section and that’s it–ever.

Matt, ask the Whole Foods mgr to order all this great stuff for the store. If its in their system, which it is, he should do it.
Was very happy to see Whole Foods Fairfax and 3rd now has ALL Gardin products available in BOTH frozen food section and Vegan Section.

The sign at the Glendale Whole Foods said the pizzas are 50% off on Fri, Sat, and Sun I think. I would guess this is a short term promotion since there’s no way they’re making money at that price.
