48October 31st, 2011LA restaurants, mendocino farmsthis is all kinds of exciting! mendocino farms, my favorite LA sandwich shop, is launching a new location in my hood on november 3rd and they’re letting me send FIVE readers (with their +1’s) as guests to their private complimentary pre-opening event this tuesday from 6:30-8:30pm.

while the restaurant isn’t exclusively vegan, at the party they’ll be serving up tempeh club sandwiches, wheatberry fingerling and fingerling potato salad, israeli cous cous, and possibly a vegan potato salad as well…all cocktail style! the latest mendocino farms shop (they’ve already got locations in downtown LA and marina del rey) will be at 7100 santa monica blvd, right next to target. i am super stoked that they’re opening this week, and look forward to consuming many many many vegan sandwiches in the future.
so who wants to go to the pre-opening party with a guest and eat free food?! we’re picking 5 winners, so the odds are better than ever. the rules are simple…

2.) leave your REAL email address, where you can be reached, in the email field in your comment. this is so i can get in touch with you ASAP if you win! all winnings must be confirmed by tuesday morning at 9am, or they will go to someone else. so check that spam folder.
3.) you must be available to attend the mendocino farms pre-opening party, which takes place on tuesday november 1st from 6:30-8:30pm at 7100 santa monica blvd. in west hollywood.

sandwiches may be my favorite food – i love anything that involves bread and is portable. i’m a mendocino freak! usually i have to wait to go when i visit my relatives in marina del rey so i’m ultra excited they’re opening in my ‘hood.

I love sandwiches because they taste awesome and vegan ones are the most awesome and you don’t have to worry about cleaning dishes after!

Sandwiches, yum! While my love for the delicacies have left me speechless, you just have to take my word on it, swear! Although I am not vegan, I do eat lower on the food chain and I have been looking forward to this option opening stumbling distance from my own front door.

I love Mendocino Farms sandwiches and side salads. It’s great that they have so many vegan options. Sooo glad I won’t have to drive all the way downtown for their awesome food!

I love sandwiches. Love them! If I could, I would marry sandwiches and have their delicious sandwich babies.
Alas, I have never had the opportunity to partake of the Mendocino Farms sandwiches, which makes me a very sad panda. So please pick me so I can revel in the perfect sandwich love affair!

I love sandwiches because they satisfy that craving I have for something quick and easy while simultaneously being amazingly flavorful and comforting. This is a great new option for us Weho residents for quick vegan fare. I always drag my boyfriend to Veggie Grill and MCafe so he will be happy to have more options now! 🙂

Being vegan in Venice and working in the Marina, I love Mendocino Farms!
Often, I work most of the day, forgetting to eat. And alas! I can just walk across the street and eat something yummy & vegan, without having to think about it or ask tons of questions. When the blood sugar is low, fast and worry-free WORKS! :-)))) -

As a new vegan, and a sandwich lover, I’ve been exploring all over LA for the best vegan sandwiches. The Reuben and the meatball sub at Native Foods top the list so far. I’ve never been to Mendocino Farms, so of course I would love the opportunity to try the sandwiches you rave about. I follow you to find good vegan places I may not hear about otherwise so, thanks!!

I love sandwiches because you they are portable and you can make them an entire meal. I tried to go to Mendocino Farms downtown, made a special plan and everything. However, they were closed! 🙁 So alas I have still never tried a Mendocino Farms sandwich and would love to taste them!

I love sandwiches because they are super portable and avocado can be easily incorporated into nearly any sandwich combination. Except maybe peanut butter and jelly.
Anyhoot. I am excited for Mendocino’s new store, and would love to go to their opening with my vegan love!

It’s rare that anyone can go through life with out their heart being broken by their first love. Not the case with me. Sandwiches have NEVER broken my heart. My first and only true, pure love 🙂 OH- but I also love ANIMALS too darn it!

me and my wife love sandwiches, sad thing is we have never had mendocino farms. tomorrow is our two year anniversary and this would be a great way to introduce ourselves to mendocino farms and celebrate our wedding anniversary.

I simply LOVE sandwiches. Why? You can eat them with your hands. You can eat them hot or cold. You can make them complex or simple. You can put almost anything in-between two slices of bread and go! Yup, sandwiches are the best!
