dudes, TDA has been rockin’ the vegan specials lately…and it’s our mission to try them ALL! they seem to have a new one every few days (sometimes even more often than that)—way to keep us vegans on our toes. my all time favorite tony’s special remains the seitan french dip, but here are the latest two offerings…

this week tony’s has been offering a vegan buffalo po boy made with a field roast country style sunflower cutlet and frank’s red hot sauce. our correspondent brittany ate it the other day, and sent us this photo along with a thumbs up.

last week was the vegan philly cheesesteak, a bun stacked with celebration roast, daiya mozzarella, peppers, and grilled onions…

not sure if this counts, because i ordered it without daiya or bell peppers. is that still a cheesesteak?! any how, i love celebration roast, and this thing was pretty good. BONUS: it came with potato chips!! HOLLA.

that’s it for now. head over to tony’s darts away and try out their vegan specials ASAP. oh, and while you’re there, demand that the french dip be a regular menu item! trust me, it’s so good.

  • My favorite is the punjabi po’ boy!! 😀 Soooo good!! but i bet these other specials you just listed are awesome too! I’ve gotta go back there! What a fantastic bar! 😀

  • The Not-So-French dip is fantastic, my only issue was I loved it so much I could have eaten 5 of them.

  • I would like to reiterate My Vegan Journal’s opinion. I have had all of Tony’s vegan items besides this new Buffalo po’ boy (which does look pretty good), and they are all good, but the PUNJABI PO’ BOY is the best vegan special they have ever had. A lot of their sandwiches are kind dry, but the Punjabi had an adequate amount of sauce and lettuce, etc… Probably the best bar in Los Angeles.

  • I tried the Vegan Cheesesteak and I could basically eat that for the rest of my life. I can’t wait to try the Punjabi Po’Boy.. bring them both back, Tony’s!!
