vegusto vegan cheese coming to the US!!!!
16September 7th, 2011vegan cheeseVEGUSTO IS COMING TO AMERICA! good god. this exciting news and a ringing endorsement comes via isa chandra in this thread at the post punk kitchen! i’ve never tried vegusto vegan cheese, but trusted sources tell me the coveted swiss-made stuff is THE BEST EVER. real life friends who endorse it include a wide range of folks including fat gay vegan on one end of the spectrum (who loves vegan cheese more than all of us combined) and melisser aka the urban housewife on the other (who generally dislikes vegan cheese, but loves vegusto).
for ages, vegusto has been unavailable in america. but that’s all about to change…
according to the PPK, vegan essentials will soon be stocking this stuff—and i can’t wait! it’s no surprise that vegan essentials is leading the pack when it comes to exotic vegan cheeses, as the company recently became the only place in america to order cheezly, which mysteriously dropped off the US market in 2010.
i am so frickin’ excited about this. if this vegusto is the favorite of isa chandra, melisser, and fat gay vegan…i’m guessing i’ll be next in line.
come to me, vegusto! readers, keep your eyes on vegan essentials.

More vegan cheese??!!! we are SOOO lucky!!! 😀

Yes but how much will it cost? With shipping charges plus freezer pack charges, many vegans are priced out of veganessentials!

Sounds awesome!! And it’s from the land of real cheese….wow! Can’t wait.

Vegusto is stunning. Here is some recent proof: last night at our London Vegan Potluck, I made a cheese and cracker platter. What was the cheese that was the only one to be eaten completely? Vegusto! It is phenomenal.

I usually hate vegan cheese, so I can not wait to try it.

I had the walnut cheese when I was in Germany last month and I have to say it was quite good. It’s nice to have a harder, vegan “fancy” cheese as opposed to the soft, shredded types more common here in the US.

^ That’s great. I haven’t sampled nut cheeses so far, but I’ve heard good things. There’s so much vegan food I haven’t tried yet, all the more to look forward to I suppose:D

HOW COOL!!!!! It’s UNREAL how many vegan cheeses there are on the market! Would be great if this one satisfied non vegan’s wine & cheeze needs.

That looks so good! I love daiya, but these look awesome to go with crackers and/or wine. One of them has a rind just like Brie. And they have fondue!!!! I guess I’m gonna have to buck up the money for the cold packs and shipping. Might as well order some Larson’s Donuts while I’m at it – they’re totally amazing but I only get them for special occasions because I’m usually too cheap to buy cold pack items.

Vegusto is the best vegan cheese ever! I’m not sure if it will make that success in the US with all options you already have, but to us here in Europe it is just perfect.

All you have to tell me is “vegan brie” and I’ll start throwing 20 dollar bills at you.
