vegan slices at zpizza! plus a giveaway!
11January 22nd, 2011LA restaurants, zpizzavegan pizza day is just one week away, and zpizza is helping everyone get into the mood with vegan slices and a great giveaway!
here is the info:
first off, to celebrate vegan pizza day, zpizza is requiring all stores to offer VEGAN SLICES on january 29th! and not just the berkeley vegan variety…different stores will have different vegan pizzas available! my contact at zpizza warns that although all the stores are required to do this, you should call ahead and check with your specific location just to be sure.
secondly, on monday zpizza is giving away 3 $20 coupons for people to use on vegan pizza. to win those you need to like vegan pizza day on facebook, like zpizza on facebook, then post something on zpizza’s wall and tag vegan pizza day. more info on that over at the official vegan pizza day site!
good luck! i can’t wait to gorge myself on slices next saturday….it’s going to be AWESOME.

That dog’s belly looks messed up but you know he’s happy! 🙂

I checked Zpizza’s website and found that their gluten-free pizza crust is vegan. : )

yes, the GF crust is vegan and very tasty! something is telling me the vegan slices won’t be gluten-free, but maybe if we call in advance and ask the manager… they’ll do it! it’s super yum. 😀

Just FYI you can have almost any pizza at Zpizza made vegan. In my experience the staff is knowledgable about what sauces, etc, are vegan. Yay!

Except that, for some reason, whenever I order the Berkeley Vegan at any location they ask if I want marinara or PESTO sauce. Uhhhhh…

My location used to do the pesto thing, but they eventually figured it out and stopped offering it when I order. The tomato and garlic sauces are vegan, I suggest getting both on one pizza, it’s soooo yummy. My fav is the Provence pizza with vegan cheese and the vegan meat crumbles (it comes with both sauces, too).
