healthy taste of LA “where the finest in plant based cuisine meets the best of nutritional science” is an event going down in redondo beach on november 7th, and we’ve got a pair of tickets to give away to one lucky reader. the event sounds pretty great…there’s gonna be health presentations by experts, as well as cooking demonstrations and VEGAN FOOD from some of our favorite chefs including david anderson of madeleine bistro, rachel carr of cru, eric lechasseur of seed kitchen, tanya petrovna of native foods, and rawsheed of sunpower natural cafe! i can’t even imagine being in the same room with all that tastiness. my head would explode.

omg all my favorite chefs and finally some scientific presentations supporting veganism. usually I only hear presentations against, I’ve always wanted to attend. I hope I win !

OH i hope I win! oh and by the way, chef Rawsheed is no longer affiliated with Sun Power and I heard he was hoping to open his own vegan place sometime soon – I actually hosted an event for him at my house and his gourmet cuisine and good vibrations are rawmazing!!

Everybody that reads this deserves to go & to win these tickets. I am a new mother and newlywed. My husband & I are vegan. I have been trying to go to Fort Bragg to become a vegan raw food chef, however it is pricey and my husband has been working almost 7 days a week in downtown L.A.about an hour away (I rarely see him):/. Our 1st anniversary is on Wed.Oct. 27th. I wanted to go to the HTLA, but could not afford it at this time. If I won these tickets, it would be our anniversary dinner and gift for us both. I really want to meet the chefs that will be there. I would love to heal people through food and educate them. If, I don’t win, whomever wins, please enjoy,enjoy, enjoy and please pass on the information you learned to others.

Oh, I forgot to say that I recently took chef A.J’s class and loved it. Just wish I could have learned more. I want to meet Jillianna and all the great raw vegan chefs. So far when I was pregnant I ate at Cru and Native cafe. I would appreciate meeting the creators/artists. We want to open our own raw food cafe as well. This event would be a great educational and contact event for my family.

I would find this to be super beneficial because I am starting a Vegan Bakery, JAM Vegan Bakery, in Los Angeles. I am in the process of setting up finances, paperwork, and a good support system. This would be a grand treat to attend healthy taste LA 2010!
If you would like to check out JAM Vegan Bakery products, stop by the community festival at: 3205 Los Feliz Blvd. LA CA, this Saturday Oct. 30th from 8am-2pm. There is a Harvest Festival, and we will have a table with vegan~all natural~mostly organic~Eco-packaged: cupcakes, cookies, specialized cake pops, homemade apple butter, apple cider, and traditional gob cakes.
