vegan croissants and cinnamon buns now at flore!
27August 10th, 2010flore, LA restaurantsyou have got to get over to flore ASAP, because yesterday the restaurant started carrying homemade vegan croissants and cinnamon buns! i tried both of them, and they are out of this world. i don’t know how i’ve lived so long with out them!
first, the croissant. this thing is really a work of art. the only flavor flore carries at the moment is chocolate chip, and it is incredible. soft, delicate layers of flaky buttery goodness–all encasing a center of creamy chocolate. i was a big croissant fan before going vegan, and i can say these definitely pass the test. they without a doubt taste like the real thing. i don’t know of anywhere else you can get vegan croissants in los angeles, so go buy as many as you can at flore.
the vegan cinnamon bun was also beyond delicious. it was moist, fluffy, and filled with the sweetest, tastiest cinnamon goo. i may have to make another trip to silverlake today for these treats….they are definitely some of the best vegan sweets in town.

Have you tried the vegan croissants at M Cafe? Those are a weekly staple for me. No chocolate filling at M, though, so I’ll have to make a trip to Flore soon!
-
had the croissant yesterday, it was amazing. go eat these things people.

ahhhhhhh…… I love croissants and cinnamon buns. Thank you for the good news.

M Cafe croissants set the standard. They have some kind of almond filling that is delicious. I will eat these chocolate ones though.

Vegan croissants are pretty much the best thing ever, ever, ever. Here in NYC, the Champs Family Bakery croissants are pretty freaking amazing! I can’t wait to try these when I’m back in LA this fall.
PS: QG, your posts, from a city all the way across the country, make me so hungry that I eat extra meals on account of them. I just thought you should know! Keep up the good work.

These look great I will have to stop by this weekend.
Also, Mrs. Winston’s on Ocean Park has amazing chocolate and plain vegan croissants that are huge and excellent. They are baked daily. -

This is so exciting! I hope they start making almond ones too, but I’ll sure take chocolate for now!

Croissants!? what?! Someone get me a wheelbarrow, I hope to get some soon, and I’ll probably get more than I can count and carry!!! and don’t freakin’ get me started on the cinnamon buns! I’ll need a big truck for those! Maybe even two!

What?!! What is wrong with me, why haven’t I been to MW yet if this is the case. Shucks. I’m immediately finding a work-related reason to drive over there so I can justify the trip.
