hey everyone! just a quick heads up that our favorite restaurant in los angeles, madeleine bistro, is having a very special tasting menu this saturday june 26th at 5:30pm. not only will there be an extravagant 5 course meal using etheridge farms produce prepared by chef david anderson, but organic farmer gene etheridge himself will be on hand for a discussion.
it sounds AMAZING. and let me tell you, the best meal of my life was a madeleine bistro tasting menu…so i highly suggest you make a reservation!

It’s funny… I moved here for awesome stuff like this (food, movie events, concerts, etc.), but now that I live here, I can’t afford that stuff. Because I live here.

Seriously guys! I am with you on this. I don’t know if it’s funny or just plain pathetic that I’d consider moonlighting only to have a bit more pocket money for upscale vegan restaurants around Los Angeles that I totally can’t afford right now. Hehe.

I’ll be going. $75 is a small price to pay (and I’m shit broke) to taste this stuff. With everything organic and days of design and preparation I think this is a steal.
