vegan chicken pot pie is BACK at larkin’s in eagle rock. GO, GO, GO!
7August 12th, 2011LA restaurants, larkin'shungry vegans, your voices have been heard! last week we blogged that larkin’s in eagle rock had recently discontinued their bangin’ vegan menu, and obviously you weren’t too happy about that.
we urged you guys to let larkin’s know how you felt, and now just one week later they’re feeling the pressure and re-introducing vegan options. starting with brittany’s favorite, the infamous pot pie…
here’s what larkin’s newsletter to customers said today (thanks for the tip, ang!):
After lots of yelling from my Vegan friends, we are bringing back the Vegan pot pie to the menu!
Please put away the torches and pitchforks. 🙂PLEASE, i implore you to go eat the hell out of that vegan pot pie and show larkin’s that we want options! where else can you get an insanely tasty vegan chicken pot pie in los angeles? i’ll tell you where: NO WHERE.
go to larkin’s! eat vegan stuff! it’s for the greater good, god dammit.

This looks great! I’m a little concerned about the onion to other veggie ratio. I hate onions, they often ruin a meal for me. Are they small chopped bits, large slices, chunks, or rings? Are they crispy or soggy smush? Thanks tons.

i don’t remember it being too onion-y. i was in a food bliss coma, though. i think they were diced.

I really like onions, but I don’t recall the pot pie being onion-y either. The onions are cooked through pretty well and absorb the sauce/juices in the pot pie, so their flavor wasn’t really too pronounced. I feel like i remember more potatoes and chik’n than onion. It really is a great pot pie, I really liked Larkin’s when I went, so everyone should def go and give them a try! 🙂

Thanks for the update! I was so sad I never got to try it, but now I can! I came on the site to see where I should eat tonight and I believe I’ve found the perfect spot, the omnivorous boyfriend will be happy 🙂
Thanks Quarry Girl! -
Has anyone heard if Larkin’s closed? I tried calling 323-254-0934 to make a reservation today and got the operator message that this number has been disconnected or is no longer in service. Any help would be much ‘perciated
