vegan in brooklyn: quick bites from vinnie’s pizza
7June 10th, 2011brooklyn, more restaurants (not LA)holy wow, guys! i think we all need to book a trip to brooklyn just to eat at vinnie’s pizza. the brooklyn pizzeria has two locations and an ASTOUNDING SEPARATE VEGAN MENU with options like bbq beef pizza, both follow your heart and teese cheese, garlic knots, hot dogs, beef rolls, drumsticks, and custom desserts. i’m going crazy just thinking about it.
reader jp sent us this picture and blurb after trishells’ papacitos post…
I’m staying in brooklyn right now, I just checked out the last field report in brooklyn. If you’re still here, make it to Vinnie’s pizza! They have one in green point (253 Nassau Avenue) and they also have one on bedford ave (148 bedford ave) this place is hands down the best vegan pizza ever. They have options for everyone and plenty of vegan wacky recreations of pizza. The two slices in the picture are vegan “bbq chicken” and “spicy chicken jalapeno”.
i implore you readers to go to this place if you’re in brooklyn. i can honestly say that i’ve never seen such an awesome looking menu.

It says on their website that they use Daiya and Teese, not Follow Your Heart and Teese. I’m not sure which is right, but I thought I’d point out the discrepancy.

Actually, it says both online. Under “Pizza” it has Daiya. Under “Menu” it has Follow Your Heart. Whatever – they’re all delicious, and it looks amazing.

OK, I think I figured it out. Williamsburg has Follow Your Heart and Teese. Greenpoint has Daiya and Teese. That’s according to the menus. But yeah, like I said, whatever – it looks delicious regardless of which cheese they’re using.

That looks terrific and fantastic.
Separate vegan menus FTW -
We went there a couple of times last year on our trip to NY. Hands down the BEST vegan pizza! The staff are so nice and the owner gave us a free pumpkin spiced cake–so freakin yummy! Everyone should go there!
