happy easter, vegan buddies! we may not eat dairy or believe in jesus but we’re still ALL about the easter treats. what better way to celebrate than with a bake sale for a good cause? head on over to locali today between 10am-3pm and buy some treats to help japan. it’s a win/win!

PLUS, if you time it right, you may be able to get your hands on some of the elusive vegan creme eggs from the fakery bakery…

at around noon, the fakery will be showing up to hand out their vegan cadbury egg and peanut butter cup pre-orders (which sold out in like 2 seconds), and rumor has it that they will be packing some EXTRA EGGS! if you missed the pre-order, you may still have a chance. i’d suggest getting there and waiting at 11:30am. any leftover eggs are gonna go FAST.

    enjoy!

  • Happy Easter, QG and Mr. Meaner! Enjoy this wonderful day!

  • How come they don’t have these in NY?!? Can we order them?

  • I bet there are 2 or 3 who believe in Jesus.

Hopefully, none who eat dairy products.

I picked up my vegan creme eggs and they were so good!!!!
    Fantastic stuffs.
Very very glad I ordered these 😀

  • Thanks QG for the mention, we had your fans come check us out. It was a great sale and sold Everything! Happy Easter!

  • Wow, these eggs are SOOO GOOOOD. I hope one day these are available to the masses. Brittany, you’re a genius – thanks for letting me enjoy a treat I haven’t had in maybe 15 years.

  • Oh – and I finally got to try Locali’s Reuben! Excellent!!! …but I think I still like FYH’s the best. Partial to the cottage tofu, what can I say. 🙂

  • I decided to kill 2 birds, with one stone today. I picked up an order of the creme eggs, and I went to Doomie’s to try out the Fried Chicken. Both the creme eggs and the fried chicken was amazing. I gave the people at Doomie’s a creme egg and they really enjoyed it.

Shucks, why didn’t I buy two bags of those creme eggs, they were seriously so good…next time I’m ordering two for sure LOL

  • That’s kind of an unfair assumption that we don’t believe in Jesus.

You might not, and that’s cool, but it’s a stereotype that is usually seen outside the vegan community that we are all athesists or agnostics.

I know muslim vegans, buddhist vegans and atheist vegans. The majority of Seventh Day Adventists (christian) are vegetarians and vegans too. There are conservative vegans as well as liberal ones. We don’t all fit into one catagory.

  • Muslims believe in Jesus, but not the way Christians do. Buddhists do NOT believe in Jesus.

I’d say the majority of Vegans do not believe in Jesus. They’d have to be Christian to believe in him, and I find it highly unlikely that a Christian would be a vegan when the bible clearly states that animals were put on this earth for human consumption.

  • BTW, where did QG claim that all vegans do not believe in Jesus?

“happy easter, vegan buddies! we may not eat dairy or believe in jesus but we’re still ALL about the easter treats.”

From my understanding, she meant “we” as in her and Mr. Meaner.

  • I’m so glad that God intended for us to eat a vegan diet (Genesis 1:29).

  • OMG these look sooooo good

  • Well I believe in Jesus and so do many of my friends who are vegetarians and vegans. Some parts of the Bible address meat, but you have to look at that objectively. Back when it was written people did have to eat meat in places where vegetation was very scarce. In the beginning it says that the earth was supposed to be vegetarian, that was the original “plan”. So many Christians look at being vegetarian and vegan as being closer to what God wanted. They also believe that if Jesus were here today he would want everyone to make the most compassionate and ethical decisions. There are even those that argue that he was a vegetarian (although he ate fish)

Myself personally, I look at the stories in the Bible more liberally, but the main components of it (as with most all religions) is that you should be a compassionate, non-judgemental person and stand up for what is right and just. To me, that is what a part of being vegan is too.

    exactly.

sooo amazingly tasty. totally worth the traffic ridden drive from LB to Hollywood!

  • They look even better in person! They’re not “flat” like the pics….they’re fully formed eggs like the real Cadbury ones!

  • Sorry, I didn’t see anything about Mr.Meaner so I assumed you were talking about all your readers who don’t like dairy lol My bad…
